The Altar Society is a brand new ministry in St. Elizabeth’s. The members of this ministry plan the monthly Holy Hours, which are held on the second Wednesday of each month. Other responsibilities include care of the altar and reaching out to those in need of our prayers. All women of the parish are welcome to join this very special ministry guided by Fr. Hernan.

Communion Ministers are lay people who volunteer and are trained by the Church to assist the priest in distributing Holy Communion at the mass. They help also in bringing the Eucharist to the sick at area hospitals and nursing homes and make home visits to those unable to participate in the community worship. Each minister receives instruction in being a lay minister with an emphasis on the Eucharist. Eucharistic ministers assist in the nourishing of God’s children with the Body and Blood of Christ.

Parish evangelization aims to promote personal encounter with the Good News of Jesus Christ in the liturgy, in the life and works of our parish community, and in our faith sharing with others within and outside the parish. Through an ever-deepening friendship with the Lord, we hope to facilitate ongoing spiritual transformation and growth of each parishioner and thus respond more fully to God’s call in his or her life.

Proclaimers of the Word – Lectors proclaim the written Word of God to the congregation for insight and contemplation. A good clear speaking voice is the only requirement for becoming a Lector. Lectors generally read once or twice per month.

As men of God, we seek to guide one another towards Christ by spreading the Gospel, and pray that we may follow Him faithfully. The Parish provides an opportunity to offer a structure of fellowship and support to deepen men’s faith and relationships with Jesus Christ; and help guide their roles in their families, in the Church, and in society as men of God and men for others.
We meet on the first Saturday of the month at about 7:20 am. Mass starts at 7:30 am and during the Homily there is a group discussion on the gospel message lead by Father Stan. After Mass we meet in the Community room to enjoy coffee/tea & bagels. We continue to discuss relevant religious topics. Our meeting is usually over between 9:00 and 9:15 am.
