Preparing the Way
As we approach the Christmas season, we would like to wish you and your family a Blessed Christmas. This Advent time which precedes Christmas is a reminder that we are all awaiting Jesus’ coming not only at the end of time, but into our lives even now. We prepare for His coming by prayer, service, sharing our faith and growing in it.
Jesus Christ is the Light of World bringing light into a world of darkness. Let us join in sharing that light with others. It is our hope that Christmas will bring you closer to God and the people you love by a recommitment to your faith and the Lord will enlighten your life with peace.
At St. Elizabeth’s we will celebrate Advent with the Advent wreath and with a Penance service on December 12th at 7:00pm. In addition to me, other priests will also be available for confession. We will again have our Giving Tree and Toy Drive. We remember that the gift of Jesus, the light of the world, which God gave to us, should be mirrored by the gifts we give to others, especially the needy.
