Suzanne Laggy, Church Secretary and Bookkeeper
Suzanne Laggy has been employed by the Diocese of Paterson since 1989. She first served as a bookkeeper at St. Therese from 1989 through 1993. Suzanne worked part time at St. Elizabeth’s as the bookkeeper and has been the full time secretary/bookkeeper since 1993. Suzanne is a Eucharistic Minister and is involved in many of the other ministries. Suzanne and her family joined St. Elizabeth’s when they moved to Flanders in 1986.
Dick Wertz, Business Coordinator
Dick and his family are founding members of St Elizabeth Ann Seton parish. He regularly participates in the Eucharistic and Hospitality Ministries and in other ministries when needed. Dick, who became St Elizabeth’s Business Coordinator in May of 2012, is also responsible for maintaining the content of St Elizabeth’s website.
Shannon Jones, Youth Minister, Confirmation Coordinator
Shannon Jones feels very blessed to serve the teens of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton as Youth Minister. With a firm belief that our young people are not only the future, but also the present, of our Church, Shannon works toward building up the Body of Christ amongst our teens through ongoing spiritual, social, and service-related opportunities. Shannon pursued studies at Rutgers University, where she received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, before graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Religious Studies. Shannon now is delighted to devote her life to her family and to ministry and remains eager to continue down this path of her faith journey.
Debbie Meola, Religious Education Secretary
Debbie has been a member of St. Elizabeth’s since it was founded in 1985. She joined the Religious Education Staff as Secretary in 2007. Debbie previously worked as a bank Branch Manager. She and her husband Ralph have three children and lives in Flanders.
Barbara Demetris, Religious Education Coordinator
Barbara joined the St. Elizabeth’s staff as Religious Education Coordinator in 2016. She serves as Eucharistic Minister when needed and oversees the implementation of St. Elizabeth’s Vacation Bible School each summer. Barbara and her husband have two children and have been parishioners of St. Elizabeth’s since their move to the Roxbury area in 2000.
