Service Hours
• 10 Hours of Parish and 20 hours of Community or 30 Parish hours.
• You will not be called to confirm; so please make a note of the day and time you select.
• Service sheets must be turned in within 1 week of completing the service.
• Service opportunities are printed in the bulletin and on the St. Elizabeth’s website – www.Stelizabethschurch.org
• Hours are posted monthly on the lobby bulletin board.

• MORRIS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY YOUTH UNITED CHAPTER MEETING: All high school students are invited to join the St. Elizabeth/St. Jude chapter of Youth United, a division of Morris Habitat for Humanity. Teens are needed to represent our chapter at the Youth United Executive Committee meeting on Thursday, January 5, at 7:00PM at Zebu Forno, 9 South Street, Morristown. Advance registration and release forms are required; all forms must be received by 1/3. Don’t miss this great chance to create new friendships, help your community, and build up the Body of Christ!
• PARAGON VILLAGE BINGO NIGHT: All middle and high school students are invited to share their smiles and good cheer in the New Year at Bingo Night at Paragon Village on Thursday, January 12, from 6:30PM – 7:30PM. Please join us as we ring in the New Year with an evening of fun and fellowship. Advance registration is required; all release forms must be returned by 1/9.
• JANUARY TEEN MASS: All teens from St. Jude and St. Elizabeth are welcomed to worship together at the next collaborative Teen Mass on Saturday, January 14, at 5:00PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. If you wish to participate as a member of our music ministry or as a reader or hospitality minister, please contact me. Music rehearsals are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, and Tuesday, January 10, at 7:00PM, at St. Elizabeth. Please share your talents and worship with us!
• TEEN TO TEEN CLOTHING DRIVE: Calling all teens…Looking for a way to give back and to keep the spirit of Christmas alive in your hearts? Please consider donating new and gently used clothing to the Teen to Teen Clothing Drive this January! Drop off your donations to St. Elizabeth or St. Jude during the weekend of January 14/15. All clothing will be donated to the Teen Shelters at the Father English Center. Help is needed with collecting donations at all Masses at both churches on January 14/15 and with sorting and organizing donations at St. Elizabeth on January 15, at 1:15PM. Please make a difference in the New Year and help us with this important cause!
• INTERFAITH FOOD PANTRY: All middle and high school students are invited to spend an afternoon in service at the Interfaith Food Pantry (2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains) on Monday, January 16, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. We’ll meet directly at the pantry at 1:00 pm to lend our helping hands in service. Advance registration and release forms are required; all forms must be returned by 1/10. Please join us!
• HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE: Calling all high school students to make a difference by volunteering at the Morris Habitat for Humanity ReStore (102 Iron Mountain Road, Mine Hill) on Thursday, January 19, from 6:00PM – 8:00 PM. Advance registration is required; release forms must be returned by 1/15. Don’t miss out on giving back in the New Year!
• YM MOVIE NIGHT: BELLA: Calling all high school students…Reflect on the right to life and join us for a special showing of the moving film Bella on Monday, January 23, at 7:00PM in the St. Jude Parish Center. Don’t miss out on this evening of inspiration and fellowship. For planning purposes, please sign up by 1/16.
• SOUPER BOWL OF CARING: All are invited to participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring on February 4/5. We’re asking all parishioners to donate one dollar or one can of soup on the weekend of the Super Bowl; all donations will benefit the Mount Olive Township Food Pantry. Young people of all ages are needed to collect donations after all Masses at St. Jude. Please support these efforts and make a big difference in your community before watching the big game!
• YM BENEFIT COFFEE HOUSE: All teens are invited to a benefit Winter Coffee House on Saturday, February 4, from 7:00PM – 9:30PM in the St. Jude Parish Center. Join us for fantastic talent and fellowship, while enjoying delicious snacks, baked goods, and hot/cold beverages. Cost of admission is $5.00; all proceeds will benefit Morris Habitat for Humanity. Performers are needed! Please consider sharing your talents with us. To reserve your spot on the entertainment line-up or to purchase tickets in advance, please contact me.
• MAMAN PASSION PROJECT: CRAFT/JEWELRY SALE FOR FRANCISCAN MISSIONARIES OF MARY: Calling all middle and high school students…lend a helping hand and watch the impact of your service spread across the globe! St. Jude/St. Elizabeth YM will help to empower our neighbors in Kenya by assisting with the Maman Passion Project, a program offered by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. The Franciscan Missionaries have been working with marginalized women in Kenya, teaching them to become self-reliant and to grow in self-worth. We will support their efforts by hosting a sale of their beautiful jewelry and crafts after all Masses at St. Jude on the weekend of February 4/5. Help is needed! Please consider volunteering for this great cause and supporting this important effort.

• FEBRUARY TEEN MASS: All teens from St. Jude and St. Elizabeth are welcomed to worship together at the next collaborative Teen Mass on Saturday, February 18, at 5:30PM at St. Jude Church. • MIDDLE SCHOOL MARDI GRAS PARTY: All middle school students are invited to gather for a Mardi Gras party on Tuesday, February 21, from 7:00PM to 8:30PM in the Community Room at St. Elizabeth. We’ll feast on snacks, make Mardi Gras masks, and enjoy a great evening of fun and fellowship. For planning purposes, please sign up by 2/16. Don’t miss it!
